What you buy, what you may do with it, how it is delivered, and which law applies. The licence file inside each paid archive is the binding text; this page summarises it.
The two kinds of licence
Free samples are published under the open licence each product states on its site and in its repository (listed below). They may be used, shared and built on under that licence's terms, including attribution where it requires it.
Paid datasets are sold as one-time snapshots under a commercial licence: you may use the data inside your own products, analyses and internal systems, commercially, without limit on seats or requests. You may not redistribute the paid archive or the tables it contains as a dataset, resell them, or publish them as a free download. Where the underlying sources are themselves licensed ODbL or CC BY, their attribution requirements pass through to you and are listed in the archive's SOURCES and licence files. The WhiskyDB subscription is billed monthly through Stripe and delivers each monthly refresh automatically; the one-time purchase delivers the current snapshot only.

Delivery
Checkout is handled by Stripe. Products under 25 MB are delivered as an instant download after payment: the confirmation page and your Stripe receipt carry the download link, which is tied to your checkout session. The SuppDB full snapshot and the RecallDB full corpus exceed that size and are delivered by email within 24 hours of payment. If a download fails, write to support@dataengineered.io with your receipt and we deliver by hand.
Accuracy and liability
Every value is traceable to a public source and every gap is left empty rather than estimated, but the data is provided as is. It is information, not advice: MechanicDB and ApplianceDB are not a substitute for a qualified technician, SuppDB is not medical advice, CSA is not investment advice, FloraDB's toxicity data is not veterinary advice. Verify against the cited source before acting on a record.
Refunds
No refunds. Every dataset ships a complete free sample with the identical schema so you can validate before buying; if a download fails, write to support and we deliver by hand. See the refund policy.
